The assignment given by the ministry of Rural Development to the Society to prepare a supplementary proposal and provide important clarifications on vital issues included in the DPR prepared by TERI for the Demonstration Project under the National Mission on Biodiesel was completed and the final report submitted.. A revised budget was prepared for the project after comprehensive examination all the aspect of the mission. A note for obtaining in principle approval of undertaking nursery raising of Jatropha plantation was prepared for the planning commission. A note for Expenditure Finance Committee was prepared for the Demonstration Project.

The Society has prepared a Techno-economic feasibility report for Jatropha plantation  in Sankili district for production of biodiesel for GMR Industry, Hyderabad. The report based on detailed site survey of land and growers suggested various models of plantation depending on existing land use and worked out the commercial viability of the project.

Society has provided consultancy to Uttaranchal Biofuel Board and helped them to prepare projects to raise resources for plantation of Jatropha curcas on Van Panchayat lands.

Some members of the Society carried out a Comparative Study of Vocational Education & Training System in the Services Sector in India and other countries. This study was sponsored by the Indian Institute of Technology,  Roorkee.

The Society completed a consultancy assignment to prepare a Guidebook to produce electricity from biogas generated at Sewage Treatment Plants in the urban areas of India for Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. This involved various aspects including technology, potential, success stories, CDM benefits, estimated project cost, MNRE programme etc.

Some members of this Society  prepared a DPR for Electrification of 50 Remote Villages of Chhattisgarh based on Non-edible Vegetable Oil of Jatropha curcas. This project was sponsored by MNES (Now MNRE). This project involved a survey of 150 remote villages and selection of 50 of them for detailed project report.

Some members of the Society along with one other have prepared a Feasibility Report for setting up a facility to produce Biodiesel and plantation of Jatropha curcas.

A member of the Society is actively engaged in working for the economic development of farmers and in the sector of microfinance.
